We just had to share some wise words from technology journalist Brian Betts

“Thinking like a prospective customer is hard. It requires unlearning years of accumulated knowledge, understanding, and yes, assumption. You need to start with a blank slate and research more than just what’s out there now”.

Keeping yourself in the know about your competition is getting harder. Monitoring your known competitors isn’t enough anymore. You need to be exploring possible substitutes, competition from different sales channels, and companies diversifying or innovating into your field.
